Martin kamotho alias Githeri man, who went viral in 2017, is back with claims of receiving fake promises from the government and other several brand companies which gave him promises that they have not yet fulfilled.
He said he did not expect to gain fame, and that he was fulfilling his role as a Kenyan.
Speaking in an interview with content creator, Mungai Eve, Githeri man said that he met President Kenyatta, only twice after his photos went viral, and he has not received an invitation to meet with him ever since.
He said that he was being given as little as 1,000, 500 ksh which he often used to buy food and pay fare.

Githeri man said that despite his popularity, his life has not changed and that he still lives in Kayole Street.

With great sadness, Githeri man appealed to sincere Kenyans to help him in any way possible to enable him to continue with his life.
Regarding the August general election, he appealed to all candidates to accept the election results and not to provoke post-election violence.
He maintained that his life had not changed from the moment of fame until now, hoping that by the end of the day things would get better.
