Mike Sonko Announces Restoring Mombasa lost funds if Elected Governor.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike sonko and his running mate Ali Mbogo assured the locals of Mombasa new change, once they were elected to office.

Sonko promised that in the first 100 days, his administration will allocate funds that will be used to empower unemployed youth and women in the county.

Likewise, Sonko noted that his government will address the insecurity that has become a chronic problem.

He also addressed residents in Changamwe constituency after their visit from Machakos on the Mombasa highway, along with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

On his part, Kalonzo said Sonko should run for governor of Mombasa to regain his lost glory.

The Wiper Party politician, who is preparing to launch his campaign for the Mombasa governorship, claimed that ODM leaders in Mombasa were traumatized as they knew what he could do in the county.

I know their weaknesses and I can expose what I know about them until I win this seat, ”he said.

Since the Wiper, led by former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka, gave him a ticket to run for governor of Mombasa, Mr Sonko has been sharply criticized by his opponents who say the county does not need to be ruled by a governor who was ousted.

Mr Sonko was fired from his seat in Nairobi after the county legislature found him guilty of misconduct, and his efforts to overturn the decision in court hit a snag.

ODM leaders in Mombasa, led by Governor Hassan Joho, have been protesting Wiper’s decision to offer him a ticket.

The party has suspended Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir from succeeding Joho, who will complete his second term in August.

Nassir was handed an ODM ticket after consultation with his former rival, businessman Suleiman Shahbal, who has vowed to support him and reject pressure to become an independent candidate.

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders in the county also opposed Mr Sonko’s arrival.

led by former senator Hassan Omar, who is set to run for governor through the party, said Mombasa does not need ousted leaders on the grounds of immorality.
