Police in Karangi, Migori County, are searching for three men who allegedly assaulted a bar manager following a dispute over a 22-year-old waiter.
Azimio Bar manager Oscar Omondi, 28, is currently suffering from stab wounds to a local hospital after being attacked by the three thugs for allegedly preventing them from leaving the club with the waitres Overnight.
Omondi, Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) said, he noticed the thugs moving towards the “influential” bar waitress as she served the celebrants at the bar.
Despite finishing their drinks an hour before the closing time, the suspects decided to stay close and persuade the bar tender to leave with them. Omondi, however, intervened in a decision that would have been seen as a short-lived one.
omondi, who was concerned about the high disappearance of waitress in his workplace who were enjoying themselves and the banquets, decided not to release the current one. however, he did not know that the three were armed with swords, knives and other raw weapons.
After successfully restraining the three, Omondi resumed his activities and decided to close the bar an hour after the initial altercation.however he was stopped by three suspects who attacked him with machetes before entering the bar counter and extorting an undisclosed amount of cash.Police are currently searching for the three suspects who are said to be well known in the area.
