Radio Maisha’s News anchor Mike Nyagwoka took to Facebook to show his happiness and joy after meeting a nurse who took care of him when he was sick 10 years ago.
The elated news anchor said he went to church and as coincidence will have it, he found himself seated next to the very man who was a nurse at Crista Marianne mission hospital, a private health facility in Kisii town.
Despite seeing him for the last time 10 years ago, amid sickness, Nyagwoka was fast to recognize the nurse who was also elated in equal measure to meet the man he took care of in hospital.
“Today I went to church and coincidentally sat side by side with the nurse that received me half-dead at Crista Marianne mission hospital-10 years ago,” Nyagwoka wrote.
The charismatic news anchor said after recognizing each other in a moment that show the two hug each other reminiscing those days when sickness converged them at the hospital, the nurse asked him of his then girlfriend who used to frequent in the hospital corridors checking on Nyagwoka.
Instead, Nyagwoka has too few words to talk about that as he asked the nurse to accompany him to his home and meet her – apparently they ended up a couple many years down the line.
“His first question was, ‘where is the girlfriend of yours that used to take care of you in hospital?’ The only answer was to welcome him home to see her children,” wrote a happy Nyagwoka.
Nyagwoka went ahead and mentioned the name of the nurse as Eric Mogire and thanked him for giving him an exemplary service at the hospital 10 years ago when he was sick.
