A lady identified as Mukami has been a victim of domestic violence. She narrated an incident where her husband came home drunk beat her up and kicked her out of their home at night. On her way home she met three thieves who were armed with guns.After explaining to them what had happened, they pitied her and took her home.

Mukami was born and raised in Meru,her dad who was the breadwinner died when she was in form two. She had to drop out of school due to lack of school fees. She got employed as a househelp in Thika. While working there she met a man on Facebook. They dated for 6 months and later decided to meet.

They moved in together in the village, they were blessed with two kids,the husband later hanged started drinking alcohol. He could sell the household items just to get money to drink alcohol. Whenever Mukami asked him why he was doing that he could beat her up mercilessly.

One night he came home drunk accompanied by his Mistress. He demanded her to prepare food for them yet he had not bought food in the house.When she asked for money he beat her up and threw her clothes outside. Mukami took her two kids and left,on her way she saw three men in tea plantation.

At first she was afraid but she decided to continue, the men asked her why she was outside at that time,Mukami told them that her husband had assaulted her and Kicked her out.They frankly told her they were thugs. They asked her if she can take them to kill him but she told them to escort her home.They escorted her and told her to continue to be prayerful because God had saved her.
