President Uhuru Kenyatta is gracing his final Madaraka day celebrations ceremony as the head of state at the neatly refurbished Uhuru gardens grounds in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi City.
Moments before the event kicked off, Citizen TV aired footage from State House building in Nairobi as president Uhuru Kenyatta addressed a couple of his cabinet secretaries led by Fred Matiang’i, Eugene Wamalwa, CS Macharia among others.
As Uhuru briefed his lieutenants at the state facility, TV cameras also concurrently zoomed in on deputy president William Ruto and his wife Mama Rachel who were at Uhuru gardens on the other side of the city waiting to receive Sierra Leone president who is the chief guest.
Ruto was seen engaged in spirited efforts to tie a piece of cloth around the “second lady” Mama Rachel Ruto who appears to have been experiencing difficult times tightening it.
The deputy president takes close to a minute to put the cloth in order in a gesture that may leave his admirers in awe at the public display of affection between the Second in command and his wife.
