GSU officers killed four people on the spot after firing on them in Kajiado.

The officers were trying to disperse protesting women in the Masimba area when they opened fire, killing four and injuring seven others.

The protest was organized by a group of women demanding action against human-wildlife conflict.The group of women were marching to show their anger following the death of a teacher who was reportedly killed by an elephant.

They were heading to the KWS Wildlife Service offices and closed the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. In the ensuing riots, GSU ​​officers heading to Mombasa by truck tried to intervene and calm the situation but things went awry and led to the officers firing on them.
