“Msichoke na Mimi ” Akuku Danger urges Kenyans to help him pay his hospital bills amounting to 883,000 Shillings.

Mannerson Oduor Better known by his stage name Akuku Danger has called on Kenyans to help him pay his hospital bills.

Akuku has been receiving treatment at Nairobi West Hospital after being hospitalized for the past two weeks. On Tuesday, his fiancée Sandra Dacha revealed that he had recovered and had already been allowed to go home but the hospital had blocked him due to the balance of the Sh883,000 bill.

Sandra Dacha who happens to be his girlfriend shared a poster on her Instagram page with Paybill number pleading with well wishes in helping clear the Bill that has blocked Akuku from going back home.

On Wednesday, Akuku said hospitalization several times this year had weakened him mentally, financially and physically.He explained that he was born with Sickle Cell Anemia, which had been affecting him for some time.

Akuku Danger who is said to be recovering well also shared the message to his followers on Instagram

On Tuesday, Nairobi West Hospital confirmed that Akuku was detained at their facility following the balance of the bill.Speaking in a telephone interview on Tuesday, Head of Public Relations Habil Okumu said the hospital could not disclose further information about any patient for legal reasons.

Defending their decision to detain the comedian, Okumu said the hospital also has bills to pay.

We have nurses and staff who need to be paid. On the service side, Akuku was assisted when he arrived. But we want to maintain the confidentiality of the patient and the hospital until we provide official information about his detention, ”he said.

This year the comedian has been hospitalized and discharged several times, which has affected him financially.
