When Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah came to the limelight and announced that he will be battling with Raila and Ruto for the top presidential race, no one took him seriously. Many even said that he will not get a quarter of the votes each of the candidates will have.
However, just a few weeks after being cleared by the IEBC, Wajackoyah is the most outspoken politician in the country. His fame has spread across county boarders and almost everyone knows him starting from small children to old men and women. His fame skyrocketed when he launched his manifesto in which he said that he will legalize the growing and use of bhang in the country.
Raila and Ruto were on Wednesday left surprised after the residents of Kirinyaga publicly endorsed Wajackoyah during a rally hosted by Wangui Ngirici. Ngirici was in the company of her campaigners seeking the support of Kenyans in the coming general elections. One of the leaders asked the people who they will be supporting in the coming general elections as the president and when Wajackoyah’s name was mentioned, the crowd went wild.
The people cheered as they waved in the air a sign that they support the Roots Party leader. Ngirici is an independent candidate and seeks to be elected as the next governor for Kirinyaga county
