Kenya Sends Troops To Congo To Fight Rebels.

Kenyan President William Ruto on Wednesday announced the deployment of the country’s army to the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to participate in a regional operation against the attacks carried out by the rebels.

President Ruto has said that the force is going to Congo with the responsibility of “protecting humanity” which is held hostage by groups of militants and armed terrorists.

“As neighbors with a common lineage, the fate of the DRC is tied to ours. we all have a role in the stability of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its security is a vow we swear to fulfill,” said Ruto.

The Kenyan force is part of the military delegation of the East African Community approved by the heads of state of the region in April, to help Congo defeat the militant groups in the east.
