Police are looking for seven men who were caught on CCTV during a failed robbery at a petrol station in Matungulu, Machakos.
A CCTV footage seen by Kenya Gossip Club, shows five of the men who attacked a gas station located along the Nairobi-Kangundo road in Tala town.
They were wearing uniforms similar to those of police officers.
Matungulu sub-county police commander Peter Omondi said the incident happened around 9:00 on Friday.
CCTV footage shows the men looting the office inside the gas station at 2:09:06 am.
Omondi said the robbers tried to steal from the filling station after they attacked and tied up two of his workers and locked them in the shop without success.
“This was an attempted robbery at a Delta petrol station where seven thugs stormed the petrol station and tied up the workers and locked them in the shop,” Omondi told journalists on Saturday.
“Later they attempted to break into the security room unsuccessfully because the police were informed by the boda boda attendant.” He added.
