Two men and one woman have been arrested as suspects in the case of the disappearance of a 14-year-old child.
Police on Monday said three suspects are in custody following the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl on May 9, at a Nairobi railway station.
“According to the child’s father, the daughter was traveling from Mombasa to Nairobi on the 9pm train when she disappeared on arrival in Nairobi later that night,” DCI wrote on Twitter.
The police said that unknown to the distraught father, the child arrived at the nairobi station in the city at around 9:30 in the morning and escaped from the station with a man later.
Police reported that the worried father’s calls to his daughter’s phone went unanswered as she disappeared with the man to Riruta Satellite in Dagoretti, where she was allegedly molested.
The next day, the child was handed over to the second suspect who is also suspected of defiling her.
The third suspect is an identified woman who is alleged to have helped shelter the child.
