“Dear fans, Followers & The General Public.
” I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to address the recent allegations that have been circulating about me and my involvement in the death of my friend Jeff Mwathi.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest sympathies to Jeff’s family and friends, and to anyone else who has been affected by this situation. I know that this has been a difficult time for many people, and I want to acknowledge the pain and hurt that has been caused by these accusations.
I also want to take this opportunity to clear my name and to assure you all that I have been found not guilty after thorough investigations by the DCI detectives and the ODPP.
While I am relieved to have this behind me, I know that there are still people who may be struggling with feelings of anger, frustration, and disappointment.
I want to use this situation to remind all of us of the importance of not jumping to conclusions or cyberbullying anyone based on mere accusations or hearsay stories.
As many of you know, I have gone through a very difficult period both emotionally and physically, and I know firsthand how damaging and hurtful it can be to be on the receiving end of false accusations and cyberbullying.
Let’s all take a moment to reflect on how we can be more compassionate, understanding, and respectful towards each other.
I understand that this situation may have been difficult for some of you, and I want to encourage everyone to seek out the facts and to approach this situation with an open mind and a compassionate heart.
Let’s use this situation as an opportunity to come together, to learn from each other, and to grow as individuals and as a community.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this difficult time. I appreciate each and every one of you, and I hope that we can all move forward with grace and love.” he wrote.
The artist, broke his silence after the Department of Criminal Investigation and Crime (DCI) and the Office of the Director General of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) acquitted him of the charges related to Jeff’s death.
Even though the case had not been officially presented to the court, circles inform that the court has also cleared him of blame.
The young man died in Dj Fatxo’s house, Kasarani street, Nairobi in early 2023.
In Dj Fatxo’s post, he admitted that Jeff was his friend.
“We will all evaluate how to be honest, and respect each other. I understand that the situation (Jeff’s death) was not easy for some of you, but I encourage you to rely on the truth…” he explained.
Dj Fatxo also used the platform t to console Jeff’s family, his friends and those related to him in one way or another.
The case of the young man dying was reported at the Kasarani Police Station, and following public complaints on social media , DCI Amin Mohamed’s office took over the case and conducted a new investigation.
The Kasarani Center’s investigation indicated that Jeff died by hanging himself, the DCI headquarters dismissing the report.
After a new investigation was carried out, including the body of the deceased exhumed and examined by the Government Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor, the DCI and the DPP have not established the cause of the young man’s tragedy.
His family still wants justice to be done, maintaining that their son was killed and not hanged as it was reported.
