Instagram appears to be down, with thousands of users around the world complaining about the problem.
Some users were unable to access the social media platform on Friday through the app.
On the website Downdetector.com, there were thousands of user-generated reports of the error as of early Friday morning.
The app displayed user error messages such as ‘sorry, could not refresh the feature’ and ‘something went wrong’
Instagram users have been
complaining about issues since 5:00 a.m. and until the time this report is published, the app still experiencing problems for thousands of users.
The social networking app also suffered a bug a few weeks ago with as many as 100,000 users affected in the US, and 56,000 in the UK, an international magazine reported.
Many took to Twitter to complain about the issue of the popular system using the hashtag #InstagramDown.
