A man by the name of Onyango Otieno created a buzz on social media after appearing on a special feature on NTV on Friday show narrating how a housemaid raped him at the age of 20.
According to Otieno, in 2008 when he was 20 years old, a domestic worker at his home forced him to have sex with her in what he described as rape.
“In 2008 I was 20 years old, I was a Form 5 student in a school in Uganda. It was December when my parents hired a new maid and in January when everyone went to school and work, the maid and i were the only ones left at home,” Otieno explained.
He narrated one day when he was returning home from school, he found the maid, had prepared evening tea and snacks that she brought for him to eat.
What surprised him was the maid wanted to sit next to him and drink tea together.
“He wanted me very close to the point of feeding me mandaazi. I remember her carrying me and putting me on the table and I never told this to anyone,” Otieno said.
Later the maid became pregnant due to the act, his mother later called asking him if the maid told him she was pregnant.
Besides that, his mother also informed him that the maid had reported of a venereal disease.
According to Otieno, he could not report the act to anyone because at the time he was unaware of sexual abuse and 10 years later he decided to seek counseling services as a way to heal from the incident that happened to him when he was 20 years old.
