Moses Kuria threatens to kick out any government official advertising on Nmg, as he faces backlash over the remarks

Trade CS, Moses Kuria has found himself in trouble following a controversial post on his Twitter account on Sunday evening.

The former member of parliament for Gatundu area created debate on social media on Sunday after he allegedly posted an abusive message against one of the country’s news houses.

” You can still advertise auctions and funeral announcements. we will not stop them,” the minister wrote on Twitter.

The statement came just a few hours after the minister ordered all government departments to boycott Nation Media Group.

While giving a speech at an event in Embu county, the former gubernatorial aspirant claimed that the news agency has taken the role of the opposition and asked it to explain if it is still a news agency.

“Nation Media, decide if you are still a newspaper or a news organization or an opposition party.

And I have said, from tomorrow, from today not tomorrow, all the government departments advertising on Nation Media, consider yourself at home. God bless you and treat them well,” the minister said.

Minister Moses Kuria’s remarks on Sunday have caused mixed reactions from Kenyans.

Kenyans have continued to criticize him with many wondering why a senior government official used such harsh words in public.

However, some users seemed to defend the minister while some claimed the news organization was wrong.
