Tom Osinde body was discovered rejected on a private morgue

The recent findings regarding the discovery of Tom Osinde’s body indicate that it had been found just a day before his family could positively identify him.

The body was retrieved from River Kuja on Thursday, June 29. New information suggests that Osinde might have been killed at his residence and then transported using his recovered vehicle in Narok, where he was ultimately dumped.

Furthermore, it has come to light that Osinde’s body was actually found on Thursday, June 22, the same day his car was spotted in Narok County. Additionally, bloodstains were found on his vehicle. However, when an attempt was made to register the body at a private mortuary in Migori, it was rejected due to the deceased being marked as an unclaimed individual.

Detectives investigating the disappearance and subsequent killing of Tom Osinde, a former National Treasury employee, have compiled new evidence suggesting that he might have been killed on the same day he was reported missing.

Osinde was reported missing on Sunday, June 18, while he was supposedly traveling from his Ngata home in Nakuru to his Nyamira residence, according to his employee, Julius Mogoi, who has now become the main suspect.According to a report by Citizen, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) strongly believe that Osinde was killed on that fateful Sunday.

However, his body was not discovered until four days later, on Thursday, June 29. Initial reports indicated that on the same Thursday, Osinde’s luxury vehicle was seen in the Sagawa area of Narok County. The ongoing investigation, closely followed by the public, has revealed that Osinde’s body was first discovered on that Thursday, and there were even attempts to have it registered at a private mortuary in Migori.

However, the mortuary administration refused to accept the body, citing it as unclaimed, thus requiring it to be taken to a public facility for identification purposes.Following the rejection by the private mortuary, the body was subsequently taken to the mortuary at Migori Level Four Hospital, where it remained until Thursday, June 29, when Osinde’s son, accompanied by the detectives, positively identified the body.

These recent findings cast doubt on the early developments shared by the authorities on Thursday, as they had initially stated that the body was retrieved from River Kuja on the same day.

Julius Mogoi, who claimed to have been sent by his boss to deliver money to a woman at a Kericho Petrol Station before proceeding to his rural Kisii home for leave, is currently in custody. Sources involved in the investigation have revealed that Mogoi has confessed to his involvement in disposing of the body.
