The executive director of MCSK Dr. Ezekiel Mutua has continued his attacks and advice against the composers of Gengetone’s song, ‘Kasikie huko kwenu’, saying that Ssaru and Fathermoh have not done well to ignore what he referred to as advice of adults.
Through his Facebook page, Mutua published a paragraph arguing the artists should not even be proud of the success of the song, as it’s overall content is misleading and should not be applauded by people.
Mutua said a continuation of songs with dirty content, are meant to please people they don’t know on social media and only trend for days or months but the artists distance themselves from commercial companies that would give them a lucrative contract as their ambassadors, as many companies cannot engage artists with dirty content.
“So you do one dirty song and it gets to your head until you throw away the advice of the elders and experts by waving your hand “Kaskie Vibaya huko kwenu?” Mutua asked.
Then strangers are insulting and bragging about you on social media and you think you are on top of the world. It is a hit song in all night clubs. But the stations and nightclubs that use your song don’t pay you anything, or if anything, peanuts.
Infact, most organizations do not associate their brands with dirt, so you part with alot of money while entertaining strangers on social media,” Mutua added.
Mutua said that these artists, after gaining fame due to dirty content that do not pay them, end up being poor.
While afraid of asking for help because they tainted their image and ended up regretting in a state of silent despair and depression.
“So let me talk to you today as a father. Ignoring advice from people who truly love you and want the best from you is the beginning of the end.
Most people would not want their children to listen to your nonsense about promiscuity and sex.” Nko na pesa na ni ya babako.” Really? if that was a true story, the person would not be proud,” Mutua added.
