Miguna Miguna Expresses Acceptance After Missing Out on DPP Post Shortlist Renowned lawyer Miguna Miguna has come forward to share his acceptance of not being shortlisted for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) position.
In a tweet on July 22, Miguna stated that he had anticipated the outcome when he submitted his application.”I understand that applying alongside others comes with the possibility of not being selected.
Therefore, not making it to the DPP shortlist was one of the potential outcomes, and I have no regrets about applying,” Miguna affirmed.Moreover, Miguna pointed out that he believes certain members of the DPP selection panel might have found it challenging to interview him for the position.
“I reckon that some Panel Members would have faced difficulties in interviewing me for the job. Nevertheless, we will continue our endeavors as patriots,” he added.Miguna’s response followed the release of a list of 15 candidates, including Thomas Lentagule, Jacinta Nyaboke Nyamosi, Victor Vinya Mule, Taib Ali Taib, Tabitha Wanyama Ouya, David Kiplagat Ruto, and Danstan Omari Mogaka, who were shortlisted for the DPP position by Solicitor General Shadrack Mose.
The scheduled interview dates for the selected candidates are August 1, 2023, and August 2, 2023, at the Public Service Commission House in Nairobi. The candidates are required to furnish various documents, including their National Identity Cards, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, supporting documents and testimonials, and, if applicable, recognition of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for foreign degree holders.
Additionally, recommendations from relevant professional bodies and associations, as well as clearances from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Registered Credit Reference Bureau, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, are mandatory for the job application process.
