Safaricom has increased charges on M-Pesa after the Court of Appeal lifted the suspension of the Finance Act 2023.
Effective July 29, the M-Pesa business till tariff rises from 0.5% to 0.55%.
Normal M-Pesa paybill charges will apply for payments to Kenya Commercial Bank’s paybill 522533.
Transactions from KSh 101 to KSh 500 incur KSh 4, while those between KSh 501 and KSh 1,000 cost KSh 9.
Paybill enables businesses to collect money from customers through Mpesa.
