
Jubilee Party digital strategist, Pauline Njoroge, has left Kenya for Europe following a dramatic encounter with investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Although the exact date of her departure remains unclear, she confirmed her travel plans on her official Facebook account.
A week ago, Ms. Njoroge, known for being critical of the government, was arrested in Malindi by DCI investigators. She, along with her friend Jane Nduta and driver Emanze Jilani, were held for two days.
Ms. Njoroge shared on social media that she believes the officers attempted to frame them by planting drugs in their hotel room and car.The arrest happened when they were on their way to Gede Ruins in Kilifi County.
After receiving an unexpected phone call to pick up documents in Malindi, Ms. Njoroge became concerned as she had not informed anyone about her presence there.
Her friend, Ms. Nduta, also received a call before the officers apprehended them.Ms. Njoroge alerted her lawyers about the arrest, and they quickly came to her aid in the Coastal region.
