Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has responded to the growing trend of followers tattooing his face on their bodies.
This is due to Maryanne Njoki’s recent act of tattooing Sonko’s face on her thigh, which drew attention and prompted Sonko to express his thoughts on the matter.
Sonko took to social media to acknowledge the loyalty and love he receives from his followers while gently expressing his reservations about the tattoo choice.
”I appreciate your faithful support and I also love you but please, I will love you without tattoos because your body is yours, your boyfriend and God’s,” Sonko insisted.
Mike Sonko’s response comes just a week after Maryanne Njoki from Murang’a tattooed his face on her thigh.
The lady gave an exclusive interview with Youtuber Nicholas Kioko, introduced herself as Maryanne Njoki and shared reasons behind her tatoo while making it clear she just loves the way he helps people.
“I decided to tatoo myself because i love the way he helps people, I saw he has helped many and I have never seen a single person appreciating him back, I am her fan, he doesn’t know me but I know him. I said I should draw him so I can see him. When I go to shower, I see him, when I wear short shorts, I see him,” she said.
She revealed to have spent 5 thousand shillings to get the tattoo and she is a mother of two children.
“I didn’t even think that it was what I was looking for, he just tattooed me and I didn’t even post it, the guy who did the job posted it, even though I’m not on Instagram. I still haven’t met with Sonko but I am aware he asked for my number, but he hasn’t called me yet.”
“If I meet Sonko, I will tell confess my love for him, he helps people, I have never seen any other person doing great for people with his money, I can only tell him to keep going and I don’t see him stopping because he started a while ago and he is still going,” Njoki said.
