Kenya to benefit from it’s trade relationship with Indonesia.

Kenya is expected to benefit greatly from the commercial agreement between it and Indonesia.

Speaking to the media in Nairobi, President William Ruto has revealed that Kenya is ready to cooperate with Indonesia in various sectors for the benefit of these countries.

Ruto said that the nation of Kenya will be selling 100,000 livestock to the nation of Indonesia every year

“Let me say here that the country of Indonesia expects our Kenyan livestock sector to export at least 100,000 livestock every year, as there is an opportunity for the private sector to facilitate that,” he said.

Apart from Indonesia setting up an oil refinery in the country, the leaders also signed six Memorandums of Understanding in sectors such as oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, cooking oil and agriculture.

”These businesses will add value to our trade relationship and increase the benefit of Kenya and Indonesia,” he said.

In addition, the President added that they discussed the importance of entering into an Investment agreement between those countries which will provide a stable and predictable investment environment which is a requirement to increase the speed of Investment in private sectors.

“We have tasked our joint panel with finalizing the definition of how to achieve this within the next 90 days.” Ruto added.
