William Ruto and his Indonesian colleague Joko Widodo on August 21, 2023 launched a project to pour cooking oil in small quantities, known as Mama Pima Edible Oil Dispensing Machines which will distribute oil in small quantities.
The oil pouring machines will be distributed by the Ministry of Industry.
The government says the project, which is a collaboration between Kenya and Indonesia, will help low-income citizens buying cooking oil at a cheap price, as well as help find employment opportunities.
