Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has said he will go to the Supreme Court of Kenya to challenge the decision regarding the registration of LGBTQ same-sex unions and the definition of the act of love as used in the case.
The MP who spoke openly on Wednesday said that the Kenyan court is the weak link in the “war against homosexuality in Kenya.
“We must take it back to court and ask the court to reverse its decision.
The court should make sure that the nature of the act of love is between husband and wife, a condition that is evident at birth.”Kaluma said.
The MP said that Kenya must pass the Family Protection Bill as soon as possible to stop the “LGBTQ madness”.
“Our success before the court will not be easy, but it is the right thing, to save humanity,
We must speed up the passage of the family protection bill, to end this madness.”he added.
The MP also said that there is a bill in parliament that aims to criminalize same-sex relationships.
According to the member of parliament, the relevant committee should have considered the bill within thirty days, but several months later, it has not yet been dealt with.
Kaluma admits that the fight against LGBTQ is not easy but he will not relent and will continue to press for the criminalization of homosexuality.
The MP claimed to have received threats that he would not be allowed to travel to countries where same-sex relationships are legal.
“I have even been threatened that I will not be given a visa to travel to countries that have allowed this perverse thing,” he added… even when I went to court I went knowing that we would lose, even if we come back we are only going to embarrass ourselves, but we will win this battle,” he said.
