Musician Esther Akoth famously known by her stage name Akothee and a mother to five children with different fathers has come forward with advice for mothers who are raising children without the presence of their fathers.
Akothee, in her advice, feels that those mothers who hide or prevent their children from seeing and getting to know their fathers are digging themselves a hole for disasters in the future in the lives of these children.
Akothee commented that it’s not good for the mothers to block the children from seeing their fathers, especially if the child is a girl because you never know how the child will grow up and become an adult tomorrow if she meets her father – without knowing he is the father – and start dating, maybe bear a child together.
“If If I deny him a chance to see his child , how about if the child is a lady and ends up as his side chick or wife or baby mama? 
. Mother’s should put pain aside and look into a bigger picture. The world is too small , don’t carry your love triangle pain into your Childrens lives.” she advised.
She noted that if the father denied the pregnancy or has decided to adopt, it is not her responsibility to prevent the children from knowing their father because there comes a period in the child’s life when she wants the identity of the father.
“Yes I will ,since pregnancy takes the two of us., and every child needs an Identity, I want to believe he had his own bulshit going on with his head and he has come back to his senses 
I have no time to answer questions I can’t answer and I have zero memory for lies” she wrote.
The artist advised single mothers that the only thing they should not allow the father to access is herself because he left her and life went on differently.
“The only access I will not give him is myself , because I believe in 13 years I have healed and moved on. Children will turn against you and go fetch those dead beats and it will pain you more.”
