Blogger Dennis Itumbi has expressed his hope that justice will finally be achieved following the postponement of the verdict in the Monica Kimani murder case.
On Friday morning, Judge Grace Nzioka who was supposed to give the sentence instead pushed it to December 15 citing that she is not in good state.
“I will take vacation dates from November, so let’s look at December,” Judge Nzioka said.
Following this, Itumbi has noted that justice for his friend Maribe and the family of the late Monica will be finally achieved despite the delay in the judgment.
“Justice for the family and Jacque will be found. It may be late, as the scriptures explain, but it will surely come,” Itumbi said via Twitter.
The digital expert and Mrs. Maribe are very good friends and in the past have shown their close relationship.
In the past, Itumbi once showed his support for the former news anchor by attending court sessions during Monica Kimani murder trial in which he is one of the defendants.
High Court Judge Grace Nzioka was supposed to give the decision on Friday, after the end of the case in July, but it has been reported that she could not do so due to illness.
Jacque and her ex-boyfriend, Jowie Irungu, are accused of murdering businesswoman Monica Kimani who was found dead with her throat cut at her home in Nairobi in September 2018.
When the case ended in July, the defense presented their final arguments where Irungu and Maribe, through their lawyers, asked the court to release them.
They argued that the prosecution failed to prove beyond doubt that they are guilty of killing Monica who was found brutally murdered at her home in Lamuria Gardens.
