Moses Kuria highlights 12 achievements as he exits Ministry of Trade.

Outgoing Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Moses Kuria has highlighted his achievements in the ministry as he prepares to officially assume his new role in the ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management.

In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, Kuria shared a poster of his 12 most notable achievements in the Business document with the caption ‘Veni, Vidi, Vici,’ a Latin phrase that translates to ‘I came, I saw, I conquered. ‘

Kuria says that during his 11 months and 6 days as Trade CS, he implemented an exported tax and promotion to curb the importation of unnecessary goods and established a pipeline of 26 mega deals from the Gulf region and Indonesia.

He also emphasized that he successfully negotiated an investment of Ksh.450 billion from Afriexim Bank in E-Mobility, Special Economic Zones and Export Processing Zones, as well as completing an economic cooperation agreement with the European Union.

The controversial minister also added to his list of achievements the industrial parks that were launched in 13 counties considered to be strongholds of the Azimio one Kenya coalition, and others in three Kenya Kwanza counties.

This comes after Kuria on Thursday dismissed critics who claim that his transfer from the Ministry of Commerce to the Public Service office by President William Ruto is a demotion.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Garissa Industrial Park, Kuria, in typical fashion, launched an unreserved attack on people he described as “enemies” who are celebrating the milestone.

Instead, the Minister maintained that he is ready to serve his new role in which he says he is responsible for ensuring that services are provided to Kenyans and all other ministries.

Kuria continued to mock his so-called enemies saying they will soon be confused by his excellent performance to the extent that they would return to the President to ask to be sent back to work.
