Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has posted an emotional post a few days after her mother Mariam Sepetu yelled at her in public during her birthday party held last week.
On Thursday, last week, Mrs. Mariam, while giving her speech during her daughter’s party, criticized her about her relationship with singer Whozu, saying it was not blessed.
Wema Sepetu’s Thursday evening post suggests that last week’s incident deeply hurt her and left her with wounds in her heart.
… Najiskia vbaya sana… This was the worst Birthday Party of my Life and nahisi sitokuja fanya Party tena kwenye maisha yangu… Naumia moyoni mwangu ila kila kitu kinatokea kwa sababu… Ndo maana acha tu niseme “Alhamdulillah”…
”Had to take that off my chest… Ningekaa kimya ningekufa… 😔😔😔🥺🥺🥺😔😔😔,” Wema Sepetu wrote.
The former Miss Tanzania continued to announce that she will speak more on Sunday, the 8th of October.
There have been rumors Wema and Whozu have not been on good terms since her mother publicly shamed her about their relationship. The two, however, have not yet confirmed the status of their relationship and Wema may talk about it today.
Thursday last week, Wema was stunned after her mother reprimanded her for being proud of her relationship with a man who has not been officially introduced to the family.
Mariam Sepetu revealed she felt disrespected by her daughter and her boyfriend as they had made their relationship public without even seeking her blessings. She continued to add that when you are a child it’s important to let your parents know who you are in a relationship with and to know the person you are in a relationship with.
”Nataka heshima itawale. Nataka wazazi waheshimiwe kama mtoto, lazima umsikilize mzazi wako. Kama mpenzi ni lazima uje kujitambulisha,” said Mariam angrily.
Mariam explained she was not trying to control her daughter’s life or prevent her from finding love, but what she was asking for was just respect, without having to know the details of her daughter’s life online. In addition, she maintained she was doing all that because of the great love she has for her.
