Blogger Diana Marua has briefly narrated her love journey with her fiance Kelvin Kioko alias Bahati before celebrating 7 years of marriage.
On Tuesday, the mother of three talked about how she first met Bahati during the recording of the singer’s music video.
Diana Marua revealed that she had broken up with the person she was dating on the morning of the day she met Bahati for the first time and admitted she had no thoughts of entering into another relationship.
“Words are not enough to describe how much my King means to me. When I met Bahati in 2016 as a vixen/ ‘bride’ on her first song #Love, I had just broken up that morning and even thinking about getting into a relationship was a dream,” Diana told through Instagram.
The 34-year-old went on to reveal how after a few weeks she started taking part in sessions with the former gospel musician and talked about how she had doubts about agreeing to date him due to the fear of being judged by society due to their age difference.
“A few weeks later, I found myself hanging out with him and I just loved his vibe, his company and how ambitious he was. However, dating him wasn’t a big deal for me because he was ‘small’ by society’s standards but as they say, the rest is History ,” she said.
Despite initially having doubts about their relationship, the mother of three has however noted that she is proud of their seven-year love journey and the success they achieved together.
Earlier this year, Diana said that when she met the 30-year-old singer he was very holy, which she was not satisfied with.
”You were Bible, Bible, Bible, Bible. I used to respect you,” Diana told Bahati during a conversation on her YouTube channel.
At the same time, Diana also made it clear that another reason why she had doubts about marrying Bahati was their age difference.
She said that her original ambition was to marry a man who is older than her.
Diana pointed out that Bahati being three years younger than her made her feel as if they were incompatible.
“The main reason was age. You are three years younger than me. Society believes that as a woman you cannot date someone younger than you. At least I knew that if I wanted to settle down, I would settle down with someone who is older than me. It’s better if he is older than me by one year. okay,” Diana Marua told the former gospel singer in the video.
