Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira Has won the Grammy award in the category of the best Latin song, in an event held early Friday for the first time in Europe, in the Spanish city of Sevilla.
Of all the unexpected events, Shakira received her Latin Grammy Award for her work on a diss track digging into her children’s father, former Barcelona player Gerald Pique.
For the first time, they were organized in Europe, with the famous Spanish city, Sevilla, hosting the prestigious event.
While many respected artists headed to the event, surprisingly the star of the city’s soccer club, Sergio Ramos, was also invited as a guest.
In fact, to emphasize his presence at the award ceremony, the organizers decided to do something that was definitely out of the box.
The footballer was entrusted with the task of presenting the Latin Grammy Award to his former girlfriend of the Spanish team, Shakira.
It doesn’t end here, as the award she received from Pique’s former rival was for the diss track, Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.
In particular, Ramos and Pique have exchanged many words over the years, given that they played for rival clubs. This time will also be one of them, possibly the most unexpected.
Be that as it may, this must be one of the unforgettable moments of 2023.
The Colombian-born singer, 45, split from the Barcelona and Spain defender – with whom she has two children with- after 11 years together.
Pique met Shakira in 2010 on the set of her official World Cup song “Waka Waka”.
Spanish media reported that Pique, 35, was unfaithful to the “Hips Dont Lie” singer and that was the reason for their split.
