”Stop blaming me for the shortcomings of your leadership” – Ex-President Uhuru message to President Ruto.

Once again retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked President William Ruto to stop blaming him for what he said were the shortcomings of his leadership.

Speaking at a church service on Sunday in Kitui County, Kenyatta said that the current leadership has always won by associating him with shortcomings that he is not responsible for as he has handed over the leadership.

“I would not like to say anything but so that my silence is not taken I am afraid to speak what is on my mind, it is clear some people have failed in doing their job. These days I am used to being blamed for everything. Every time someone fails to do their job, they start blaming the previous adminstration, hata wakati mke wa mtu anashidnwa kushika mimba, wanamlaumu Uhuru” he said.

It will be remembered that for more than a year now since they were handed over the leadership, Ruto and his deputy along with many ministers have been blaming the leadership of Uhuru Kenyatta for what they say that Kenyatta’s leadership in collaboration with his ‘brother’ Raila Odinga sabotaged the country’s economy.

Ruto has been saying the hardship the nation is going through right now is due to the many loans that the previous government borrowed and used in illegal ways.

On Sunday, Uhuru Kenyatta made a surprise visit to Kitui county where he was welcomed by leaders from across Ukambani, including Kalonzo Musyoka.

He emphasized that being blamed will not change his position of continuing to stand and defend the policies of the opposition led by Raila Odinga.
