Education Minister Belio Kipsang on Saturday said everything was fine in marking the recently announced KCPE results.
Kipsang, who spoke during Saturday’s inauguration of the Chepsaita cross-country race in Uasin Gishu County, said the problem was a technological error in delivering results via SMS.
PS said that officials from the Ministry of Education will meet with MPs next week in parliament to clear the air on the issue.
He refused to discuss the issue further when asked to explain how some candidates from a certain school got the same marks.
“We will clear the air next week when we meet with MPs in Parliament,” concluded Kipsang.
The event was attended by DP Rigathi Gachagua, Sports Minister Ababu Namwamba, and other senior government officials.
Education Minister Ezekiel Machogu and KNEC CEO David Njeng’ere were supposed to appear before the National Assembly’s Education Committee to answer questions about the results on Thursday but they failed.
Several questions have been raised about the results released recently with several students and schools rejecting the results.
