Mom drops 12-year-old daughter from school to become a TikTok influencer.

A mother has revealed she is pulling her 12-year-old daughter out of school to focus on her career as a budding influencer.

According to the Daily Mail, Mother Kat Clark, from Australia, has 5.2 million followers on TikTok and was voted Content creator of the Year at the site’s annual awards in 2022.

The 37-year-old mother hosts the popular Aussie podcast ‘Basically Besties’ with her daughters Latisha, 20, and Deja, 12 – who Kat has ‘very strict’ parenting rules for, the Mail said.

‘Traditional school worked [for Deja] in primary school because I had a corporate job,’ she said recently on a podcast. ‘Since entering this new profession, there is a lot of traveling involved. I often fly to Sydney.’

“Deja is even starting to get opportunities now too, so 9-3, Monday through Friday school doesn’t work for us because we’ve found we’ve had to take her out of school a little bit.”

Kat shared she has enrolled Deja in homeschooling for next year.

‘We think that’s best for her, just because we don’t want her to miss these opportunities. TikTok takes a lot of time. It’s what’s right for our family.’

The mother claimed it was ‘the right time’ as Deja can still go back to school a year later if she doesn’t enjoy that life.
