The boss of the Next Level Music label, Raymond Mwakyusa aka Rayvanny has explained that he felt he had been raised musically enough by WCB and that is why he took a big step to leave the label owned by Naseeb Abdul Juma aka Diamond Platnumz.
In a recent interview with a local radio station, Rayvanny also noted that he felt he had grown enough to also help other budding artists.
The singer revealed he has successfully made strides with his NLM label since he became an independent artist last year.
Vitu vimekaa vizuri kabisa.” he said.
While talking about his departure from Diamond label, he revealed he informed his former boss about his decision in an informal setting and later informed the rest of the WCB team.
In addition, he revealed that there was tension about his decision before reaching a good decision and agreeing in a peaceful way.
“Kwanza tulikuwa tu kwenye stori tu za kawaida tukiwa pale kwake alafu nikamgusia kwa sababu namjua. He is proud of me lakini kuna namna mtu anakuwa.. Baadaye alielewa na hakuweka vikwazo vingi. Nilipomwambia alielewa na akaambia timu,” Rayvanny said.
Kufika kwenye makubaliano sio rahisi. Lakini tuliweza kumaliza kwa njia nzuri. Lakini nilimwambia kwa njia isiyo rasmi. Tulikuwa tumekaa tu sebuleni nikamwambia”
At the same time, he revealed he has already completed paying the large amount of money that Diamond demanded for his departure from WCB.
The NLM boss claimed the amount owed to him is more than double the amount his fellow singer, Harmonize was required to pay the label following his departure several years before him.
Nililipa. Nimeshalipa. Ni mara dufu na inaongezeka tena kidogo,” he said.
Regarding how he felt being asked to pay a large amount of money to be free as an independent artist, he said, “Amani ni muhimu zaidi kuliko hizo pesa.
