A woman slept and woke up with luck and 1.1m richer after sharing her story of how she started waking up every day at 4 in the morning to prepare food for her husband before leaving for work.
The woman named Debbie in the X platform was answering the question of one user if in today’s world there is a woman who can wake up every day at dawn to cook for her husband before going to work.
Debbie highlighted her side of the story in marriage, not knowing the story would be the catalyst for a major change in her life.
Debbie said that she used to not do so but after she was told her husband was dependent on food of a worker at his job, she made it her business and created alarms to wake her up every day at 4:50am to cook for her husband before going to work.
”I’ve always been too lazy to wake up and get his lunch ready. But the day he told me a colleague brought two spoons so he’ll eat with her, was the day I set my alarm for 4:50am” Debbie wrote.
Due to the confession, other users attacked her referring to the act as ”slave” in marriage but there are some who praised her as a hero for going out of her way and asked for her number so they can contribute something as a way to thank her.
Within a few days, Debbie has reportedly received 1.1 million Nigerian Naira, equivalent to about 200,760.50 Kenyan Shillings.
To appreciate every contribution, she took to X platform and published photo and transactions that she has received and thanked all those who offered to congratulate her in form of money after sharing her courageous story.
”To everyone responsible for this, I don’t have words, but I’ve cried out my heart in prayers for every one who donated, reposted and wished me well. My head hurts and I just want to sleep.” She wrote.
