MCA Tricky: God used Churchill to give me cars, lands, and a job on radio.

In recent weeks, there has been a heated debate on social media about the contribution of the founder of modern comedy in the country, Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill in promoting other comedians and how he supported them.

This debate is based on two different sides, some accusing him of using comedians to his advantage while others praise him for doing a great job and uplifting dozens of comedians who are independent in various fields at the moment.

This debate took another turn after the former comedian of Churchill Show, YY Comedian admitted that Churchill at one time was giving his comedians a choice between a car or 300,000 ksh in cash to support themselves.

Appearing to answer him, his fellow comedian, MCA Tricky said that Churchill can’t be appreciated for only that but he gave many a platform to build a brand and he gave his example that everything he has right now including his brand is due to the opportunity given to him by Churchill.

“Let’s be quick to be grateful instead of being quick to deny the claims. Let’s be quick to appreciate what Churchill did to us instead of being quick to clarify whether it is true or false. Personally, as MCA Tricky, Churchill gave me KSh 300,000 in the groups that we were in. That is the truth. There was money that was sent to different groups and Churchill told us to use the money in knowing how to catch the fish.

”Churchill gave me cars. He gave me all the plots I have, a radio job and so many things. God used him to give all those things. For example, I am doing radio, there is no way I would get the job without being MCA Tricky, and I became MC Tricky thanks to Churchill’s platform. The fact is Churchill helped us,” MCA Tricky said during a podcast session with Wakimani.

The comedian who is currently a presenter in a radio station in the country said that many were just going and were given a place on stage to laugh without knowing how much Churchill had spent to make the show successful.

Tricky insisted that there is a need for Churchill to receive his flowers while he is still alive and can still smell them.

“I don’t know the sacrifices he was going through. Our job was to enter the stage, kill and exit. Let’s give him his respect,” Tricky said.
