While the cases of murder of women are increasing but also strongly criticized by various groups in the country, the police in the Lari area of Kiambu County have found the body of a 20-year-old girl who was reported missing about two weeks ago.
According to Citizen tv, the police have had to start an investigation saying the girl was reported missing two weeks ago from her village in Kinare before her body was found dumped in the Kinare forest.
Police revealed that her body was found abandoned in the forest, covered in blood, and with injuries that indicated she had been raped.
Her body was moved to Naivasha District Hospital mortuary, pending an autopsy. Residents of the area have complained about the forest saying it has turned into a place to commit crimes such as murder referring to several cases witnessed in the forest.
This is about the 6th reported case of the murder of a lady in a complex environment in the country since the year 2024 began.
Last weekend, a group of women in Nairobi organized a Peace protest in Nairobi strongly defending against the killings which they feel are targeting women.
The group was led by Nairobi county women’s representative, Esther Passaris and their message was to ask men to stop killing women.
