Popular Kenyan artist Wilson Abubakar Radido, known as Willy Paul, has raised concerns among his fans by claiming that his life is in danger. Through his official Instagram account, Willy alleged that individuals posing as police officers had stationed themselves outside his house, accusing him of being involved in a hit-and-run incident. He vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that it was a ploy to harm him.
This is not the first time Willy has faced such accusations, as he claimed a similar incident occurred last year. Urging journalists and those familiar with his residence to come to his aid, Willy called for immediate assistance to confront the officers outside his home.
While Willy expressed genuine fear for his safety, some fans speculated that the situation might be a publicity stunt or a strategy to release new music. Despite the skepticism from some quarters, Willy’s concerns stem from previous incidents, including an attack at his Saldido studios by unidentified gunmen. In response to the attack, Willy condemned the violence and hinted that the perpetrators were known to him, urging them to cease their harassment.
Although Willy did not disclose further details regarding the motive behind the attack or any damages incurred, his appeals for assistance underscore the seriousness of the situation he finds himself in.
